My first novels are The Witherstone Trilogy: Witherstone, The Hunt Begins, and The Book of Shadows. I'm currently working on getting them re-published with some revisions - long story involving some rewrites wanted by a publisher, setting the story specifically in Lancashire, before they suddenly pulled out of publishing the trilogy due to financial difficulties, but I'd started so I'll finish! After that, I might finally get on with a couple of other ideas I have bubbling away on the back-burner.
I occasionally write short stories, often with a darker edge, and have written a play about three Pre-Raphaelite artists called The Loom, which was performed at St. Peter's Arts Centre, Preston, by Penelope's Web Theatre Company.
When I'm not making things up, I spend most of my time in a library.
In previous incarnations, I was the project co-ordinator for the Lancashire Writing Hub for over two years, and before that was a University lecturer, teaching English Literature, and Creative Writing. I've also been a carpenter, a photographer, a childminder, a civil servant, and worked in a fruit & veg shop. One of these days I'll decide what I want to do when I grow up.
I also keep bees, but have no plans to give away any of their secrets.
Out in the Social Media world I ditched Twatter for Bluesky, although I'm occasionally on Facebook, usually when I should be doing something else instead.
